More than me, my boyfriend loves to go on hikes. I have been waiting to go on hikes with him, but mean-while I try to go on hikes by myself. As someone who lives in the middle of the desert, working hard and working in the middle of nowhere, he understands the preciousness of breathing freedom. Sometimes, I wonder when will we meet again and then go on a hike together. So, I can see him feel the thrill of scaling mountains.
During COVID, a lot of people are away from their loved ones, just like us. While COVID has brought a lot of families closer, it has also made it very difficult to fly cross country for warm hugs and cuddles. However, until we figure out a way to meet and hike together, let me share about how Get Your Guide made it possible to climb and hike along the Red Rock Canyon. I can say, it was one of the easiest hikes of all time. One because it was less about the incline and more about the beautiful patterns made by red sedentary rocks that made me forget the toughness of incline. The ribbons of red and orange streak across the blue skies felt like an incredible display of God's creative talent. What an artist! These naturally layered sandstones are a perfect example of how even old and rusty things can also be marvelous.
These spectacular streaks are the result of rock rust staining from iron oxide. This rusting creates bold red stripes. The layer formations, panoramic landscape, and desert sand have drawn nature-lovers and photographers to this place for decades.
